1. What is TeamViewer?
TeamViewer is a software application which allows a user to access another computer remotely using a web browser. It is compatible with various platforms including MacOS, Windows, Linus, iOS and Android.
2. What to do next?
Click here to automatically download the TeamViewer application. You may be asked for your permission to run depending on the browser you're using on your computer. Please see images below on how TeamViewer runs on different browsers.
Once TeamViewer is downloaded on your computer you will see a Disclaimer box. Before you proceed, please close any documents, programmes and/or webpages with confidential information that are not for the eDofE Support Team to see. By proceeding you accept and agree that the information displayed on your screen can be shared with The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Once you have accepted the request you will see a pop-up box as shown below. Please provide the session code to the eDofE staff so that they can remotely access your device and help you with queries.
You will see another pop-up box which will give you 30 seconds to accept or cancel the request.
If you accept the request, eDofE staff will now have access to your computer. You can see the TeamViewer support tool on your right hand side bottom corner. Please select the 'Blue Arrow', this will let the eDofE team access your computer but it wont let them have full control of it.
If you're happy with the session please select the 'Close' button and the session will end.
