To save your route as a .GPX file and export it, select the 'Export GPX' option on the 'Edit Route' pane. This will download your map as a .GPX file.
It is also possible to import a .GPX file into eDofE Mapping by selecting 'Import GPX', clicking on 'Choose File' then selecting the relevant map and clicking on 'Open' then 'Save'. Any map you have open will be automatically overridden if you choose to import in your current map. To save as a new map, create a new map and then import the .GPX file.
At the moment, the maximum file size is 2MB or 3000 waypoints. if your .GPX file is larger than this, reduce the size by splitting the route into two or more files, or reduce the number of waypoints. Most GPX software packages have the ability to do this. GPX map files can only be viewed via a specialist mapping application.
When exporting on a MAC OS, your map will be downloaded as .GPX.XML. Before importing it, you will need to rename your map to .GPX
