This can be completed either by the DofE Manager or by another Administrator in the LO that has the “Can add and edit assessor accreditations” permission allowed.
DofE Managers are appointed by their LO to a position of trust. They have access to a significant amount of information about the young people in their organisation and have a large degree of delegated authority to manage their DofE provision. They operate within their LOs management framework and will have undertaken the safeguarding checks required by their LO in order to be appointed to the position. Consequently, the DofE Charity is happy for DofE Managers to ‘self-certify’ that they have complied with their own organisation’s requirements to register as an Assessor.
