Administrator and above account holders with the permission(s) 'Award Verifier for Bronze', 'Award Verifier for Silver' and 'Award Verifier for Gold' can approve participant awards at LO level.
Awards can be approved via 'Award approvals'> 'Awaiting approval' on the left-hand menu or via 'Approvals' in the 'Communications' box top right.
You will see a list of participant awards that need to be approved.
Any sectional activity in green text has been typed and has not been chosen from the drop-down list of options. Ensure that the activity is appropriate and is in the right section. Activities in black text show that the participant has selected the activity from the drop-down list. Some activities are in red text which means that the section has previously been queried by a verifier and then re-submitted.
Query Award
You can click on the participant's name to review their award. If you want to query any section, you will need to select the 'Query Award' button on the top right-hand side and select the section that you want to query. Please write a reason why you're querying this section and click on the 'Send query' button.
Once the section has been queried, the participant's DofE leader and the participant will receive a message on eDofE notifying them that the section has been queried. If the participant is required to add additional information to support their section, please open their profile page. When their profile is open, find the section which has the query, marked by a red ! symbol, and click on the section to open this. This opens the section- you'll see the query and any comments made by the verifier. If you scroll down you'll then see 'Query Section' and 'Approve Section'- clicking on 'query section' here will reopen this section, which in turn allows the participant to add any information to their section that is required.

Approve Award
If you are happy with the participant's sections and want to approve the award, you can do so by selecting 'Approve Award' & clicking on the 'Yes' button.
A green confirmation banner will appear on the screen.
If the Award Verifier has previously approved any of the participant's sections, a grey arrow is shown and the tick box and the 'Approve' button are greyed out as they are unable to approve this participant's award.
For Bronze and Silver awards, the participant will receive an email to say that they have completed their award. For Gold awards, the award will be sent to the Regional Office for approval.
Regional Administrator and above account holders with the permission 'Award Verifier role gold (Regional)' can approve participant Gold awards at Regional level providing they haven't already approved at LO level.
