Administrator and above account holders with the permission(s) 'Award Verifier for Bronze', 'Award Verifier for Silver' and 'Award Verifier for Gold' can approve participant awards at LO level.
To view awards awaiting approval
1. Awards can be approved via 'Award approvals' --> 'Awaiting approval' on the left-hand menu or via 'Approvals' in the 'Communications' box top right.
2. Use the 'Location' filter and then click on the 'Search' button.
You will see a list of participant awards that need to be approved.
Any sectional activity in green text has been typed and has not been chosen from the drop-down list of options. Ensure that the activity is appropriate and is in the right section. Activities in black text show that the participant has selected the activity from the drop-down list. Some activities are in red text which means that the section has previously been queried by a verifier and then re-submitted.
If you have already approve one of the participant's sections, you cannot approve the Award. This must be done by another award verifier.
To query an award
1. Click on the participant's name to review their award.
Please note: Do not click on the ID number. This will take you to the participants profile page.
This will open the Award Summary. You can click on each of the coloured sections to review each one.
2. If you want to query any section, you will need to select the 'Query Award' button on the top right-hand side.
3. In the pop up, select the section(s) you wish to query and provide the reason you are querying the award.
Click the 'Send Query' button.
4. A notification will be shown in the top right hand corner of the page to confirm the award has been queried.
Once the section has been queried, the participant's DofE leader and the participant will receive a message on eDofE. The participant will also receive an email notifying them that the section has been queried.
If the participant needs to add additional information
If the participant is required to add additional information to support their section, you will need to re-open the section.
1. Go to the participant's profile and find the section which has the query, marked by a red ! symbol, and click on the section to open this.
2. You'll see the query and any comments made by the verifier under the 'Comments' tab.
3. Click on the 'Query section' button and provide a reason for the query., This will allow the participant to add any further information to their section that is required.
Alternatively, the participant can revert this section to draft/unsubmit the section themselves.
To Approve an Award
1. Click on the participant's name to review their award.
Please note: Do not click on the ID number. This will take you to the participants profile page.
This will open the Award Summary. You can click on each of the coloured sections to review each one.
2. Click the 'Approve Award' button in the top right hand corner.
Please note: If the Award Verifier has previously approved any of the participant's sections, the 'Approve' button will be greyed out as they are unable to approve this participant's award.
3. You will need to enter a comment and then click the 'Yes' button. The comment will be sent to the participant.
4. A notification confirming the award has been approved will be displayed in the top right hand corner
For Bronze and Silver awards, the participant will receive an email to say that they have completed their award. For Gold awards, the award will be sent to the Regional Office for approval.
Regional Administrator and above account holders with the permission 'Award Verifier role gold (Regional)' can approve participant Gold awards at Regional level providing they haven't already approved at LO level.
