You can use touch/face ID to login to the DofE app, to save you entering your Username and password each time you sign in. This can be setup:
- when you login to the app
- from the navigation menu once you've logged in.
Please note: the availability of touch/face ID is device dependant.
Setup touch/face ID at login
If you already have touch/face ID enabled on your phone, you'll be asked if you want to use this to login to the app.
1. Open the DofE app and tap 'Get Started'.
2. Enter your login details and tap 'Submit'.
3. If you wish to enable touch/face ID, tap the 'Enable Face ID' button.
If you wish to continue to sign in without touch/face ID, tap the 'Don't use face ID' button.
4. Tap the 'Allow' button to allow the DofE app to access your touch/face ID and login to your eDofE account without the need for a username or password.
Congratulations, you've now setup touch/face ID on the DofE app.
Toggle touch/face ID on/off
You can toggle touch/face ID on or off at any time from within the app.
1. Open the DofE app and click the menu icon.
2. Select 'Settings' from the menu.
3. From there, you'll just to need to click on the 'Enable Touch ID' and this will toggle touch/face ID on or off the for the DofE app.

A notification will be shown at the bottom of the App when touch/face ID is turned on or off.
