Two-factor authentication has been introduced as an additional layer of security for all adult, system administrator, regional admin, and head office accounts.
A verification email with a six number one time passcode (OTP) will be sent to the email address on the account. It will only be required after the user’s IP address has changed over 30 times and after any unsuccessful login attempt.
If a user enters the incorrect username/password to try and login, they will get the error message saying their attempt was unsuccessful. If they login again but this time with the correct username and password, they will be sent a verification email with the OTP – they will need to enter the verification code before they get into eDofE. This code will expire after 15 minutes. If the 15-minute period has passed, ensure the code is resent before entering.
