1. Who has access to the reporting suite on eDofE?
Administrators and above account holders have access to the Reporting suite.
Primary Administrators have access by default, but Administrators need to be granted access to all Centres in their LO to be able to use this function.
2. Where is the Reporting suite?
Select Reports from the left-hand menu and it is in the top right-hand corner.
3. I can get into the reports but the report filters don’t contain any data
Check what the user logged into eDofE as. We need to verify that the name they used exists in the logins table of the data warehouse as this is what determines if and how the report filters are populated.
4. Dates are displayed in American format on the report screen
This is due to the browser language settings being set to the US. Change them to be English (United Kingdom) - in Chrome, this can be done as follows
- Go to ‘Settings’
- Click on 'Advanced’
- Scroll down to ‘Languages’
- Add ‘English (United Kingdom)’
- Drag ‘English (United Kingdom)’ up so that it is at the top of the list
- Click on ‘English (United Kingdom)’ then tick 'Use this language for spell checking'
- Delete any other languages that are listed
- Ensure that when you click on ‘English (United Kingdom)’, it says on the right-hand side that Google Chrome is displayed in this language
- Click on ‘Finished’
- Restart Chrome to ensure the changes take effect
5. I get a ‘date is not valid’ error
This is also due to the browser language settings being set to US which in turn applies the US date format. The problem can be fixed by changing the browser language settings to English (United Kingdom) as above.
6. How do I print a report?
Firstly, run the report that you require and select the floppy disk icon. You have different options to export your report. Once your report has been downloaded, you will be able to print it.
