Once a participant has entered their activity choices on to eDofE, the Leader they chose to submit their programme planner to will receive and alert to inform them the programme planners needs to be reviewed. The programme planner will need to be approved or queried accordingly.
To view submitted programme planners
1. Log in to eDofE and click on the 'Alerts' link in the navigation menu (you will need to expand the 'Communications' menu if you can't see the 'Alerts' link)
Only the DofE Leader the participant selected when submitting their programme planner will receive the alert. Other account holders can view programme planners via 'Manage Participants' --> 'Participant Overview'
The number in red next to the 'Alerts' menu item refers to the number of participants who have submitted programme planners to be approved.
Please note: The same participant can send multiple programme planners. e.g. in the screenshot above, there is an alert for two participants, but there are three programme planners awaiting approval.
2. Click on the section with the alert, marked by a warning triangle in an orange circle, to view the participant's programme planner.
The details need to be reviewed, before the programme planner for each section can be 'Approved' if you are happy that the chosen activity meets the sections requirements, or 'Queried' if changes need to be made.
To Approve the programme planner
If no changes are required by the participant the programme planner can be approved.
1. Click the 'Approve' button.
2. A notification will be displayed in the top right hand corner of the page to confirm the programme planner has been approved.
The section status will update to 'Programme planner approved', indicated by the white arrow in a dark yellow circle icon on the participant's profile.
To Query the programme planner
If you require the participant to make changes to the programme planner, you will need to query it.
1. Click the 'Query' button
2. Enter the reason why you are querying the programme planner. This will be sent to the participant so that they know what they needs to be amend. Then click the 'Query' button
3. A notification will be displayed in the top right hand corner of the page to confirm the programme planner has been queried.
The queried section will return to 'Draft' status to allow the participant to make changes to their programme planner. This is indicated on the participant's profile by the purple icon with a white pencil.
